I am a child of this land,
and through my ancestors this is my spiritual home.
Desolate and barren as it may be,
this is my ultimate place of rest,
my grounds of solitude.
I am a child of this land,
but I will soon stray to distant plains,
chasing dreams that may not be my own.
I am a child of this land,
who has been wrapped up by life,
and forgotten himself a little more each day.
I am a child no longer.
For today I must become a man.
The end will eventually tend back to the beginning,
and guide me home
(to my land)
